S&P Global backs Kaiko as Series B reaches $110M

Summary

S&P Global led a strategic investment in Kaiko, extending the crypto market data company’s Series B to $110 million. The round also included major financial and crypto investors such as BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Coinbase Ventures, Nasdaq Ventures and RBC. Kaiko will use the capital to expand its core digital asset data business and build onchain infrastructure for tokenized Treasuries, money market funds, equities and bonds. Investors will join a Kaiko-led working group on data and infrastructure for tokenized products. The funding follows Kaiko’s recent expansion through the acquisitions of Cometh and Amberdata and a prior partnership with Bloomberg to place licensed financial data onchain. The raise comes amid broader Wall Street adoption of tokenization, with ICE, Nasdaq and DTCC all advancing projects for tokenized securities, while the SEC is preparing to discuss 24-hour U.S. equity trading.
