Stablecoin Supply Expands by $5B Since U.S. Election as Investors Pile Into Crypto
Since the U.S. election, over $5 billion has flowed into the crypto market, driven by the growth of stablecoins. Tether's USDT supply increased by $3.8 billion to a record $124 billion, while Circle's USDC rose by $1.6 billion to nearly $37 billion. This expansion signals bullish sentiment for digital assets, as stablecoins provide liquidity for trading. Pre-election, investors adopted a cautious stance, but post-election, stablecoin balances on exchanges surged to a yearly high of $41 billion. Bitcoin reached record highs following Donald Trump's election victory, reflecting increased market activity. Additionally, USDC supply on the Solana network grew by 14% to nearly $2.9 billion, and USDT on the TON blockchain rose by 10% to $1.1 billion.
