Standard Chartered forecasts SKY rising fivefold to $0.325 by 2028

Summary

Standard Chartered began coverage of Sky’s SKY token with a $0.325 price target for end-2028, up from a prior $0.065 estimate. The bank’s digital assets research head compared Sky, formerly MakerDAO, to a “federal bank” because it issues stablecoins, sets a governance structure, and charges borrowers a wholesale rate. The forecast says SKY’s value will mainly come from staking rewards, with token buybacks playing a smaller role. Sky is the third-largest stablecoin issuer after Tether and Circle, and the largest issuer of yield-bearing stablecoins. Standard Chartered expects SKY to roughly match Ether’s performance and beat Bitcoin through 2028, alongside forecasts of Ether at $18,000 and Bitcoin at $300,000. Sky’s sUSDS had $4.5 billion in total value locked and a 3.6% APY.
