Strategy Buys Back $139 Million of STRC, Bitcoin Stack Frozen for Second Week

Summary

Strategy repurchased 1,420,467 shares of its STRC preferred stock for $139.3 million in the week ending Sept. 13, down from $176.3 million the prior week. The buyback was funded entirely from USD Cash. No Bitcoin was bought or sold, leaving holdings unchanged at 845,050 BTC, acquired for $63.73 billion at an average cost of $75,412 per coin. No STRF, STRK, STRD, or MSTR shares were repurchased. About $1.05 billion remains under the $2 billion digital credit securities repurchase program, and the separate $1 billion MSTR authorization is still unused. USD Cash fell to $1.30 billion from $1.44 billion, while the USD Reserve stood at $5.10 billion. Strategy’s dashboard shows STRC’s BTC Credit spread at about 57 basis points, below its 150-basis-point investment-grade threshold. The slowdown comes ahead of an MSCI decision on whether to exclude non-operating companies like Strategy from global equity benchmarks, with a ruling due Oct. 16.
