Strategy Leaves Bitcoin Untouched, Raises $334M Selling MSTR Stock
Strategy made no Bitcoin trades last week, ending a streak of weekly BTC sales used to fund dividends and buybacks. Its holdings remained unchanged at 840,447 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $75,385 each. Instead, it raised $333.7 million net by selling 3.46 million MSTR shares at about $96.48 apiece. The proceeds were split among $52.4 million for STRC dividends, $132.2 million for STRC buybacks, and $149.1 million added to the dollar reserve. The reserve rose to $4.8 billion, up from $4.65 billion. Strategy repurchased 1,388,720 STRC shares, leaving $653 million of its $1 billion repurchase program and the separate $1 billion MSTR authorization untouched. Since May, Strategy has sold 6,948 BTC for about $432.5 million under a June capital framework that allows up to $1.25 billion in Bitcoin sales for funding needs. About $820 million of that BTC-sale capacity remains. At about $63,500 per BTC, its holdings are worth roughly $53.4 billion, about $9.9 billion below cost.
