Strategy (MSTR) sold bitcoin in late May, and told the market in June. Here's how Polymarket bettors are fighting over when it counts.
A Polymarket market asked whether Strategy (MSTR) sold any bitcoin by May 31. Strategy’s June 1 filing said it sold 32 BTC between May 26 and May 31, creating a dispute over whether “by 11:59 PM ET” means the sale had to occur by then or be confirmed by then. One camp argues “Yes” because the trades happened inside the deadline and Strategy’s filing is the primary source. Another argues “No” because no confirmation was public before the market closed, so resolution should depend on information available within the time window. A smaller camp says the rules were too vague to resolve cleanly. Polymarket later backed the “No” interpretation, saying confirmation outside the timeframe does not count. The market price for “Yes” collapsed sharply, though final resolution still depends on UMA token holders.
