Strategy Raises $2B Selling MSTR Stock, Establishes 'USD Cash' Pot

Summary

Strategy raised about $2.01 billion by selling 18.26 million MSTR shares last week and did not sell any Bitcoin. It allocated $136.4 million to repurchasing STRC preferred stock, $300 million to its USD Reserve, and $1.57 billion to a new USD Cash account. USD Cash is a separate dollar liquidity pool for broad Bitcoin-treasury uses, including buying Bitcoin, paying dividends and interest, repurchasing stock, redeeming convertible notes, or replenishing reserves. Strategy said this improves flexibility in volatile markets. Bitcoin holdings were unchanged at 840,447 BTC, bought for $63.36 billion at an average cost of $75,385. With Bitcoin around $78,400, the stack is now worth about $65.9 billion, slightly above cost after being deeply underwater earlier this year. The company also repurchased 1.43 million STRC shares, leaving $516.6 million remaining in that buyback program; the separate $1 billion MSTR repurchase authorization is still unused.
