Students want crypto classes but learn on social media: OKX survey
Summary
A survey commissioned by OKX found strong support for teaching crypto and blockchain in college: 90% of students and 87% of parents backed it, and about a quarter to a third wanted it mandatory. That demand appears ahead of current course offerings, since a separate review of 533 US universities with accredited business schools found only about 28% offered blockchain classes. In the absence of formal education, students mainly learn from social media and influencers: 33% named them as their top source of crypto information, nearly five times the share citing schools or professors. Parents relied most on crypto platforms and apps, at 21%. The survey covered 500 students and 500 parents via Pollfish.
