Tether AI platform to support Bitcoin and USDT payments, CEO says
Tether AI, an upcoming platform from Tether, will support payments in major cryptocurrencies like USDt and Bitcoin. CEO Paolo Ardoino announced the launch is targeted for the end of Q1 2025, building on a previous announcement about developing the AI tool. Tether AI will operate on a fully open-source, peer-to-peer network without reliance on centralized control or API keys. It will adapt to any hardware and device. The platform's P2P crypto payments will integrate with Tether's open-source wallet development kit (WDK), allowing users to maintain control over their assets through self-custodial wallets. Tether is expanding its focus on AI, having restructured to create Tether Data, which will develop various AI applications. Ardoino aims for Tether AI to establish a foundational technology for future AI advancements, inspired by Isaac Asimov's vision of AI's role in society.
