Trump Media Weighs Truth Social Spinoff Following Bitcoin, Crypto ETF Moves
Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT) is considering spinning off its social media platform, Truth Social, and other related businesses into a separate public entity called SpinCo, which would later merge with Texas Ventures III. Some assets will remain with DJT, but specific details were not disclosed. DJT shareholders would receive shares in SpinCo before DJT’s pending merger with power fusion company TAE Technologies. The aim is to create shareholder value through more focused business entities. DJT shares declined roughly 2.10% today and have dropped about 40% over the last six months. The impact on Trump Media’s crypto initiatives, which include Bitcoin holdings, ETF filings, and a planned airdrop of a Crypto.com-linked token to shareholders, remains unclear. No immediate response was provided regarding future crypto plans, and the airdrop token has not yet been distributed.
