Ubisoft, LayerZero Launch Network for Cross-Chain Gaming Assets
Ubisoft launched its Decentralized Verification Network (DVN), a blockchain-based system for securing digital asset transfers across various blockchain platforms. The company partnered with LayerZero to enable seamless movement of digital assets across Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and over 130 other blockchains. The DVN enhances security and scalability, allowing publishers to control asset security and movement while maintaining ownership integrity across networks. Ubisoft aims to eliminate technical barriers for users and has previously experimented with blockchain technology, introducing in-game NFTs in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint via Tezos and launching games on Oasys and Ethereum. Upcoming projects include Might & Magic: Fates, a mobile card game on the Immutable network.
