'Flappy Bird' Relaunches Without Crypto Elements After Divisive Telegram Return
Flappy Bird launched on the Epic Games Store for Android, featuring classic and quest modes, but lacks any crypto elements. The game is supported solely by ads and in-app purchases. Originally released in 2014, Flappy Bird gained over 50 million downloads before being removed by creator Dong Nguyen due to concerns about its addictive nature. A new Flappy Bird Foundation previously attempted to introduce a crypto version on Telegram, planning a token tied to the game, but faced criticism, including from Nguyen, who distanced himself from the project. The Telegram version's mining phase has ended, and there is currently no official Flappy Bird token or Web3 game. Any claims of such tokens or games are labeled as scams. Future Web3 announcements will be communicated through the Flappy Bird Foundation's official channels.
