Uniswap teases v4 is ‘coming soon’ after missing its Q3 target last year
Uniswap has announced that its upcoming version, Uniswap v4, will be released in 2025, following a missed target for Q3 2024. The announcement included a teaser image and emphasized that significant developments are planned for 2025, including Unichain. Uniswap v4 is currently in the testing phase, with a $15.5 million bug bounty program ongoing to identify vulnerabilities in its core smart contracts. Key features of v4 will include Hooks for custom code execution, dynamic fees, gas savings, flash accounting, native ETH support, and multiple pool types. Uniswap remains the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) by trading volume, recording $106 billion in December 2024. The native token, UNI, has increased by 6% but is still down 69% from its all-time high in May 2021.
