US bank group taps Quant for tokenized deposits, but QNT’s role is left in doubt
Summary
The Clearing House selected Quant to provide software connecting its planned tokenized-deposit network with existing payment systems such as RTP and CHIPS. The network is intended to let banks clear and settle tokenized commercial deposits, with availability expected in the first half of 2027; no live rollout, subscribing banks, transaction volumes or revenue schedule have been disclosed. The announcements do not require banks to buy, hold or use Quant’s QNT token. Quant allows fees in fiat, and the project-specific link between network activity and QNT demand remains unclear.
