US spot Bitcoin ETFs post best week since April with $1B inflows
US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a sharp rebound in demand, pulling in about $1 billion in net inflows for the week. That was their strongest week since April and the third-best since last October. The surge comes amid the “silent IPO” thesis: early Bitcoin holders are allegedly selling into steady institutional and ETF demand, creating enough supply to keep prices subdued even as capital enters the market. The inflow spike also followed a major Coldcard hardware wallet exploit that led to roughly $116 million in Bitcoin theft. The incident raised fresh concerns about self-custody security and may push some investors toward ETFs instead of managing private keys themselves. The possible link between the hack and ETF inflows is not proven, but the timing suggests security fears could be supporting renewed ETF interest.
