XRP ETFs now hold $1.7 billion but took in just $4M last week
Summary
XRP fell 5.46% in 24 hours to about $1.43 on Oct. 7. Five tracked US spot XRP ETFs held an estimated $1.7 billion, but Oct. 6 net inflows were only $3.14 million: Bitwise’s roughly $11 million of additions outweighed redemptions at Franklin and Canary. Exchange-attributed wallets declined by 26.5 million XRP over a week; the much larger monthly decline was mostly attributed to an Uphold storage migration. Ripple released 300 million XRP from escrow after re-locking 700 million, but this does not show the coins were sold. Futures turnover was about five times covered spot turnover, though the data do not establish whether derivatives trading drove the price decline. The dominant sellers remain unidentified.
