Moscow Exchange launches 5 crypto perpetual futures as demand tops 600 billion rubles
Summary
Moscow Exchange plans to launch perpetual futures linked to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Tron on Sept. 22. Available only to qualified investors, the cash-settled contracts track MOEX crypto indexes, settle profits and losses in rubles, and require collateral. Daily automatic rollovers provide continuous price exposure without holding cryptocurrency or manually switching expiring contracts. Initial margin rates range from 22% for Bitcoin to 43% for XRP. The launch expands MOEX’s existing crypto derivatives business; the exchange says more than 72,000 qualified investors have traded its dated crypto futures, with turnover exceeding 600 billion rubles.
