XRP is the Sole Major in Green as Bitcoin Bulls Remain Sidelined

Summary

Bitcoin fell 2.3% in the past 24 hours after a brief spike following U.S. CPI data. The broader crypto market also declined. Only XRP gained 5%, possibly due to CME and CF Benchmarks announcing indices and reference rates for XRP. Traders attribute the market lull to sales pressure from Mt. Gox and the German state of Saxony selling over $600 million worth of BTC. FxPro senior market analyst Alex Kuptsikevich suggested that major tokens may not see gains until Bitcoin makes a move higher. Saxony transferred over 3,000 BTC to exchanges, leaving just over 6,000 BTC in its wallets.
