XRP Leads Crypto Losses as Ethereum, Dogecoin Prices Crater Alongside Bitcoin
XRP experienced the steepest decline among major altcoins, dropping 15% in 24 hours and 28% over the past week, trading at $1.30—its lowest since November 2024. This marks the biggest daily loss among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap. Bitcoin dipped below $67,000 before rebounding above $68,000. Other significant drops included Ethereum (down 6% on the day, 30% for the week at $1,985), Dogecoin (down 8% on the day, 19% for the week at $0.09), BNB (down 9% on the day, 23% for the week at $666), and Solana (down 8% on the day, 27% for the week at $85). Over $47 million in XRP derivatives were liquidated, primarily long positions, as part of $1.43 billion in total crypto liquidations in 24 hours. XRP trading volume surged 57% to over $11 billion. The global crypto market cap fell 7.4% to $2.37 trillion from a September 2025 peak of $4.2 trillion. Market sentiment is fearful, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index at 11 ("Extreme Fear").
