Affluent investors seen boosting crypto exposure: Survey
Summary
A CoinShares survey of 2,230 affluent investors across seven countries found that digital assets make up about 10% of their portfolios on average. Ownership ranged from 54% in Sweden to around 70% in several other countries. At least 85% of crypto investors in five countries plan to increase exposure in 2026, and respondents were generally undeterred by the February market downturn. Bitcoin was the most widely held asset. Younger investors allocated more to crypto, while many respondents said their financial advisers were too cautious. Adviser Ric Edelman disputed the survey’s average allocation estimate, saying 2%–5% is more common, but recommends 10%–40% depending on risk tolerance.
