Securitize stock jumps 8% amid South Korea tokenization push

Summary

Securitize shares rose nearly 8% after it signed an agreement with South Korean technology company LG CNS to explore tokenized funds, stocks, stablecoins and digital-asset infrastructure for financial institutions. The partnership comes as South Korea’s financial regulator proposes rules for tokenized securities, expected to take effect in February 2027. LG CNS also launched a blockchain infrastructure platform for banks and financial firms. The deal could give Securitize an early position in the market as institutions prepare for the new framework. Tokenized real-world assets are valued at about $40 billion, while tokenized equities total roughly $3.2 billion, up 10.6% over the past month.
