Anchorage Digital adds institutional access to Frgmnt’s fUSD stablecoin

Summary

Anchorage Digital has partnered with Frgmnt to let institutional clients access fUSD and sfUSD through Anchorage’s custody platform. The integration lets institutions hold, mint, redeem, stake, and unstake fUSD without needing separate custody arrangements. Frgmnt is a Base-based stablecoin protocol that mints fUSD against USDC and deploys backing into onchain lending markets. Users can stake fUSD into sfUSD to earn protocol-generated rewards. Frgmnt currently has about $100,000 in total value locked and is operating in a capped, invite-only beta, with public access and a higher deposit cap planned for Sept. 15. The deal expands Anchorage’s role as a regulated institutional gateway for stablecoins and staking. Anchorage Digital Bank is federally chartered and OCC-regulated, and the company has recently broadened stablecoin issuance, payments, treasury, and staking services.
