CoinMarketCap buys CoinGlass to expand crypto derivatives data

CoinMarketCap has acquired CoinGlass, a crypto derivatives data platform, to expand coverage of leveraged trading across major exchanges. CoinGlass will keep its brand, team, website, app, free tools, API, and pricing unchanged. It tracks open interest, funding rates, liquidations, and options across 28 exchanges and more than 2,500 instruments. The deal adds derivatives positioning data to CoinMarketCap’s price data, giving users more insight into liquidation clusters and funding rate trends. CoinMarketCap is owned by Binance, which acquired it in 2020.
