Anchorage Digital Taps LayerZero To Take USAT Stablecoin Cross-Chain

Summary

Anchorage Digital is adding native cross-chain functionality to its regulated stablecoin infrastructure by partnering with LayerZero. The bank will use LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard to move supported stablecoins across blockchain networks. USAT is the first live token in this integration and the first stablecoin on the platform to use the standard. LayerZero supports 170+ networks, giving Anchorage a broad base for distributing regulated dollar tokens without relying on separate wrapped or bridged versions on each chain. That reduces fragmentation and operational complexity. The rollout starts with USAT, while other stablecoins such as Western Union’s USDPT and OSL’s USDGO are expected to follow later. The move signals a broader push to make cross-chain distribution a built-in part of stablecoin issuance.
