Aviva Investors launches tokenized fund after Central Bank of Ireland approval
Aviva Investors launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger after approval from the Central Bank of Ireland. The product is available to eligible investors using digital wallets. BNY Mellon will remain the custodian of the fund’s underlying assets, Komainu will handle digital asset custody, and Licuido will provide tokenization infrastructure. The fund invests in high-grade, short-term US dollar debt securities and money market instruments, and Aviva says the tokenized version keeps the same investment objective and liquidity profile as the traditional fund. The move builds on Aviva Investors’ earlier partnership with Ripple and adds to the growing market for tokenized real-world assets on public blockchains. It follows other XRPL tokenization efforts and reflects broader adoption by major asset managers such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Apollo.
