Binance and Bybit tease possible Solana liquid staking products
Binance and Bybit are hinting at launching new products related to Solana, potentially entering the Solana liquid staking market. Binance teased a product named "BNSOL," while Bybit introduced "bbSol." Speculation suggests a partnership with the Solana-based liquid staking protocol Sanctum. Liquid staking allows users to earn yield while maintaining liquidity through derivative tokens. The liquid staking sector manages over $42 billion in crypto, with Lido leading the market. Currently, over $4 billion of SOL tokens are staked via liquid staking platforms, representing about 7% of the total staked Solana tokens, indicating significant growth potential. Analysts believe that the introduction of SOL-based liquid staking products could enhance Solana's DeFi ecosystem.
