Bitcoin miners’ daily revenue per unit of computing power falls 8.7%

Summary

Bitcoin mining revenue weakened as hashprice fell 8.7% week over week to $32.86 per petahash per day on November 2. Hashrate Index’s forward market implied network computing power would remain near 1,056–1,059 exahashes per second through November and December, suggesting little additional competition after difficulty rose 16.4% to 148.36 trillion. These projections are not observed future hashrate and depend partly on transaction-fee assumptions. A competition plateau could ease pressure on miners, but dollar revenue still depends on Bitcoin’s price, fees and subsidy. Forward contracts can stabilize revenue for matched output, but do not guarantee production or profitability, especially for operators facing high power costs.
