Bitcoin Stability May Signal No Drawdown In 2026: Pomp
Anthony Pompliano suggests that Bitcoin’s lack of a dramatic year-end price surge may actually protect it from a major crash in early 2025. He notes that Bitcoin’s volatility has compressed significantly, making a typical 70-80% drawdown unlikely. While some investors are disappointed that Bitcoin did not reach forecasts of $250,000, Pompliano highlights its strong performance, with gains of 100% over two years and nearly 300% over three years. The absence of a blow-off top reduces the risk of heavy corrections. As of now, Bitcoin is trading at $87,436, down 7.39% from the start of the year. Pompliano argues that lower volatility provides downside protection, even though it limits upside excitement. Other analysts hold more cautious views, with projections that Bitcoin could fall to $60,000–$65,000 in 2026.
