Bitcoin’s $84,000 wall gets harder to break as ETF inflows sink to $31 million
Summary
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $31.07 million in net inflows on Sept. 28, their weakest day in an eight-session positive streak and about 97% below the near-$1 billion peak earlier in the month. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $54.84 million, while Grayscale GBTC and Fidelity FBTC saw outflows. Despite the slowdown, funds took in $2.4 billion last week, their strongest weekly total of 2026, and year-to-date flows returned to positive territory at about $1.01 billion. Bitcoin traded near $84,000 after retreating from above $87,000. Glassnode identified $84,000–$85,000 as a major long-term-holder cost-basis supply zone, where selling pressure could impede further gains. Reduced ETF buying may leave less demand to absorb that supply.
