BitMart withdrawals appear to slow following wind-down announcement
BitMart’s withdrawals appeared to slow after it announced plans to wind down operations. On Monday, only 58 wallets reportedly withdrew about $805,000 over 24 hours, and no withdrawals were seen in one eight-hour tracking window. Users on X also reported problems, including pending withdrawals and emails saying withdrawals were completed when they were not. BitMart said withdrawals are still available but may face extra compliance and security checks, including identity, device, address, trading-history, and source-of-funds reviews. The exchange has not commented publicly. BitMart said it will stop new registrations and deposits, limit new spot and futures activity, end trading on Aug. 26, and fully shut down on Jan. 31, 2027. Arkham-linked wallets held about $69 million in crypto on Monday, down from about $102 million on July 6. BMX fell sharply, dropping about 81.5% in seven days.
