Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT under scrutiny for alleged $4M memecoin exit
A Solana wallet linked to blockchain investigator ZachXBT is accused of withdrawing nearly $4 million from a memecoin project associated with him. The wallet, identified as investigations.sol, received 500 million ZACHXBT tokens from an unknown developer. It later withdrew approximately 91 million ZACHXBT tokens and 16,059 SOL tokens, valued at around $3.81 million, from the liquidity pool. The SOL tokens were transferred to a wallet connected to crypto market maker Wintermute, raising speculation about an OTC trade. Andre Cronje defended ZachXBT, citing his unpaid contributions to the crypto space and his right to benefit from the token. ZachXBT expressed frustration over the lack of financial rewards for his investigative work, despite significant contributions. In response, investor Joey Moose initiated a fundraising campaign to support ZachXBT, which raised over $50,000 within the first hour, reflecting community appreciation for his efforts in exposing fraud and recovering stolen funds.
