Bybit expands RWA push with tokenized bond funds from PIMCO, CMBI
Bybit is expanding into real-world assets with a new RWA Earn platform that lets eligible customers buy tokenized bond funds from PIMCO and China Merchants Bank International. The launch starts with two products: PIMCO Dynamic Income Opportunities Fund, which holds a mix of fixed-income assets, and CMBI’s Investment Grade Bond Fund, focused on Asian and global investment-grade credit. DigiFT handles tokenization, while Plume provides the onchain subscription and allocation infrastructure. Users can invest with USDC and pay no subscription, redemption, or onchain fees, but the products are not principal protected and returns are not guaranteed. The move reflects broader growth in tokenized assets beyond Treasuries. RWA.xyz values the market at $31.8 billion, led by tokenized U.S. Treasuries, with commodities, credit, and stocks also gaining traction.
