Circle Brings USDC Workflows Into Banking Platform Used By Major Institutions
Circle is pushing USDC deeper into mainstream banking infrastructure through a collaboration with Volante Technologies announced on September 28. Volante’s payments platform, used by major global and U.S. banks, will let institutions explore USDC workflows inside their existing payment stack instead of building separate crypto systems. The integration is meant to support functions such as minting and redeeming USDC, registering beneficiary wallets, funding transactions, sending notifications, and wallet-to-wallet payments. This does not mean all customers will immediately offer stablecoin payments, but it creates the infrastructure for evaluation and deployment. The broader shift is that stablecoins are becoming a back-end settlement rail within familiar banking systems. Banks and corporate clients can gain faster, always-on payments while keeping existing controls, fraud systems, and account connections. The partnership also helps solve key on- and off-ramp challenges by linking USDC movement to regulated bank accounts and treasury workflows.
