Circle removes USDC redemption surcharges as Express keeps its 0.05% fee
Summary
Circle will remove the separate net-redemption overage fee for institutional USDC and EURC fiat conversions under a revised Circle Mint schedule taking effect Oct. 19, 2026. Standard redemptions, renamed from Basic, carry no Circle fee and can take up to two business days. Express redemptions, formerly Institutional, retain a 0.05% fee and offer near-instant processing. Eligible Express customers who mint more than they redeem may receive credits of 25% to 100% of net minting, capped at fees paid. Circle Payments Network activity is exempt from Express fees. Bank settlement and review delays may still apply.
