Crypto market cap reclaims $3 trillion as Bitcoin, altcoins rally
Crypto markets rebounded, briefly pushing total market cap above $3 trillion as Bitcoin and major altcoins rallied. Bitcoin traded near $86,000, up about 4.5% in 24 hours, while Ether rose 2.3% to $2,745. XRP, Solana, BNB and Dogecoin also advanced, with Dogecoin among the strongest large caps. Speculative activity increased: perpetual futures open interest climbed to nearly $160 billion, the highest since late October 2025, and over $920 million in bearish positions were liquidated as prices surged. US spot Bitcoin ETFs also saw nearly $1 billion of inflows, the biggest daily haul since October 2025. Separately, Akedo’s AKE token jumped about 170% over seven days, briefly hitting a record before giving back more than 60% from its peak.
