MetaMask has added native support for the Tron blockchain on both its mobile and browser platforms, enabling users to manage Tron-based assets and interact with decentralized applications directly through the wallet. This integration allows swaps and transactions across Tron, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), Solana, and Bitcoin networks, expanding MetaMask’s capabilities beyond its original Ethereum focus. Users can send USDT, stake TRX, and conduct cross-chain activities within a single interface. Tron boasts around 3 million daily active wallets and is a major network for stablecoins, with over $81 billion in USDT issued, just behind Ethereum. MetaMask’s expansion reflects growing multi-chain demand and follows earlier integrations of Solana and Bitcoin, aiming to provide a seamless, universal gateway to decentralized finance for users.
