Ethena Labs introduces sUSDe as collateral for Trump-backed WLFI protocol
Ethena Labs proposed integrating its synthetic stablecoin, sUSDe, into World Liberty Financial (WLFI) to enhance capital efficiency and liquidity in WLFI’s Aave instance. This partnership aligns with Ethena's mission to expand sUSDe's utility, which has reached a $6.1 billion market cap, becoming the third-largest stablecoin. Integrations with DeFi protocols like Aave, Curve, and Pendle have driven sUSDe's growth. The stablecoin offers a 27% APY, and its integration into Aave has significantly increased supply rates. If approved, WLFI will benefit from enhanced rewards, increased total value locked, and revenue growth. Ethena will co-incentivize deposits with additional rewards. Aave’s risk service providers will manage deployment to ensure stability and liquidity.
