Fake Influencers to Compete for Real Money in 'AI Personality of the Year' Challenge
OpenArt and Fanvue have launched the AI Personality of the Year 2026 competition, a four-week global contest to find the top AI influencer, offering over $90,000 in total prizes. Entrants must create an original AI character on OpenArt, start a TikTok or Instagram account for the character, post at least four times during the challenge, and tag the organizers. Five competition tracks include Entertainer, Lifestyle Influencer, Comedian, Fitness, and Anime/Cartoon/Fantasy. Prizes include weekly $200 cash awards, $6,000 plus $2,000 in promotion for the grand prize winner, and tiered cash/promotional rewards for category finalists. Audience-voted winners receive additional $1,000 prizes. Judging is conducted entirely by a human panel featuring renowned creators of successful virtual personalities. The competition highlights the rapid growth and realism of the AI influencer industry, now valued at $6 billion and projected to reach $46 billion by 2030. Entries are evaluated on quality, inspiration, brand appeal, and social influence. Winners will be announced in May 2026, establishing a new standard for virtual influencer recognition.
