Grayscale’s Zcash ETF files for 3-for-1 forward share split

Summary

Grayscale plans a 3-for-1 forward split for its Zcash ETF (ZCSH) after the market close on Sept. 28. Each shareholder will receive two additional shares for every share held, while the total investment value should remain unchanged. The split will lower the price per share and increase the number of shares outstanding, making the ETF more accessible to investors after Zcash’s sharp rise in value over the past year. Grayscale said the share price had become too high for some investors. Zcash itself has also rallied sharply, helped by renewed interest after Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang said the firm bought ZEC and described it as a private complement to Bitcoin.
