How a public crypto firm’s 4.3% AI gain hides millions in balance sheet losses
SRX Global’s first post-acquisition disclosures still do not show whether EMJX can generate returns on SRX’s own capital. The company said its 4.3% EMJX gain for June 16–30 was “hypothetical” and “system-generated,” not an actual trading return. Although SRX said in June that it had deployed capital into multiple high-conviction positions, the new filings do not link any specific positions or profits to EMJX. The 10-Q shows company-wide digital assets fell from $8.333 million to $2.120 million, with $4.803 million in sales proceeds and a $1.410 million fair-value loss, but these figures do not establish EMJX-managed performance. SRX also reported no separate EMJX segment revenue or operating results for the ownership period. Management said it will provide more data after building a meaningful record of actual capital deployment.
