Interest in Bitcoin ETFs persists despite SEC delays and significant $1.2B outflows
Investors continue to show strong interest in Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) despite recent significant outflows. US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs saw outflows totaling $1.2 billion over four days, with BlackRock’s IBIT fund experiencing the largest outflow of $219.48 million. Bitwise’s BITB also recorded outflows of $8.93 million. Conversely, WisdomTree’s BTCW, VanEck’s HODL, and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB funds reported net inflows of $10.24 million, $5.46 million, and $2.89 million, respectively. The SEC has delayed its review of Bitwise’s proposal for a broad-based crypto index ETF until March 3, allowing more time for consideration. Osprey Funds plans to convert its Bitcoin trust into an ETF, with a filing expected soon. The Osprey Bitcoin Trust currently manages $186.65 million in assets.
