JPMorgan boosts Bitcoin, Ether ETF positions in Q2 filing

Summary

JPMorgan’s latest SEC 13F shows a larger crypto ETF footprint in Q2. Its reported stake in BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) rose about 25% to 10.4 million shares, worth roughly $356 million, while its position in BlackRock’s Ether ETF (ETHA) jumped more than fourfold to about 1.17 million shares. The filing also listed small positions in XRP products for the first time: shares of Grayscale’s XRP product and Bitwise’s XRP ETF. The filing is not a clear market bet, since 13Fs can mix client, trading, and inventory holdings and do not show shorts. JPMorgan also reduced positions in several Bitcoin miners.
