Kazakhstan court bars Coinbase, five others from unlicensed crypto services in AIFC
Kazakhstan’s Astana Financial Services Authority obtained court orders barring Coinbase, BingX, Bitcoin.com, HTX, BitMart and WEEX from offering or marketing unlicensed crypto services in the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), including distributing related apps there. The restrictions apply only within the AIFC, not nationwide. The orders also bind Google and Apple as app-store operators, though the court declined to issue them a separate injunction pending discussions with AFSA. LBank was removed from the case after blocking access to its services in Kazakhstan. The judgment was entered by default after the platforms did not respond. AFSA said enforcement began with warnings to more than 20 platforms in 2025, followed by court proceedings in early 2026.
