LG Electronics Tests Onchain Advertising Network On Arbitrum

Summary

LG Electronics’ Blockchain Research Lab is piloting an onchain ad verification network on Arbitrum in Japan with Hakuhodo. The goal is to log key advertising events, such as who served an ad, when it was served, and how performance is recorded, so different market participants can independently verify results. The pilot targets long-standing digital ad problems: fraud, privacy constraints, and weak engagement. The design is notable because it layers blockchain verification onto existing DSP and SSP workflows rather than replacing current ad systems. LG says it is exploring how blockchain can improve transparency while remaining privacy-conscious. Arbitrum positions the project as an enterprise infrastructure test, not a consumer crypto product. Results are still under evaluation, with no published performance or fraud-reduction metrics yet.
