Marathon's Layer-2 Chain, Anduro, Plugs In 'Portal to Bitcoin' for Atomic Swaps
Anduro, a multi-chain layer-2 network developed by Marathon Digital Holdings, has integrated the decentralized exchange (DEX) network Portal to Bitcoin. The aim is to increase utility on the Bitcoin blockchain network. Anduro was created as a platform on the Bitcoin network for multiple sidechains. The integration with DEX network, a San Francisco-based fintech provider, coincides with the project's renaming to Portal to Bitcoin. The company, previously known as Portal, raised $34 million in a seed round in March and uses the Bitcoin layer-2 network Lightning for asset conversion via atomic swaps. Anduro's sidechains use merge-mining, allowing miners to earn Bitcoin-denominated revenue from transactions on these chains while mining bitcoin on the base-layer.
