The platform quickly attracted attention for its emergent behaviors, including the spontaneous creation of an AI religion. Interest surged as millions of AI agents joined within a week, producing unpredictable results. Moltbook has also faced criticism for security vulnerabilities, with a recent incident exposing thousands of email addresses and API keys before being resolved. The platform's founders will join Meta's Superintelligence Labs, but Meta has not commented publicly on the acquisition.
