MicroStrategy’s Bankruptcy Risk: CEO Warns Bitcoin Must Drop To $16,500 To Trigger Collapse
MicroStrategy has increased its Bitcoin holdings to over 400,000 BTC, with a current total of 439,000 BTC acquired for approximately $27.1 billion at an average price of $61,725 per coin. Concerns about the company's financial stability have been raised, particularly regarding Bitcoin's price floor, which is currently at $30,000. Despite this, Bitcoin's recent price surge to over $108,000 was driven by significant short liquidations. The Bitcoin-to-gold ratio reached an all-time high, enhancing Bitcoin's status as "digital gold." MicroStrategy's inclusion in the Nasdaq 100 may lead to increased capital for further acquisitions. The firm has seen substantial gains, with a 46.4% increase quarter-to-date and a 72.4% gain year-to-date. Bitcoin is currently trading at $104,140, down 2.6% in the last 24 hours but up 6.5% for the week.
