Montenegro’s PM Caught In Scandal Over Terra Founder Do Kwon Deal And Meetings
President Jakov Milatović of Montenegro accused Prime Minister Milojko Spajić of lying about his knowledge of Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, during Kwon’s arrest in Podgorica. Milatović stated that Spajić denied knowing Kwon despite prior involvement in a deal with 750,000 Terra Luna tokens and multiple meetings with him. This denial occurred in front of party members, raising concerns about Spajić’s credibility. Milatović also criticized Spajić for introducing him to George Cottrell, a British national facing serious charges in the U.S. Milatović emphasized the need for Montenegro to avoid becoming a haven for criminals and called for transparency. The Montenegrin Court of Appeal recently decided to extradite Do Kwon to South Korea, prioritizing its request over that of the U.S. Kwon has faced legal scrutiny since the collapse of his blockchain protocol. As of now, Terraform Labs’ token Luna Classic (LUNC) is experiencing slight price recovery amidst market stabilization.
