Moscow Exchange Plans To Open Crypto Trading On December 1
Summary
Moscow Exchange plans to launch direct cryptocurrency trading on December 1 and is testing the service with professional market participants. Settlement will use a partner digital depository, with accounts opened through that infrastructure. Under Russia’s new framework, unqualified investors will be limited to selected major assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT, and face annual investment caps; qualified investors will have broader access. The move extends the exchange’s existing crypto-linked derivatives into direct trading through traditional financial-market infrastructure. Liquidity, trading pairs, custody and customer experience remain unresolved ahead of launch.
