NYSE owner takes Trade[XYZ] stake as it plans US Hyperliquid futures
ICE and Trade[XYZ] plan to build a US venue for 24/7 perpetual futures covering crypto, equities, commodities and currencies, subject to regulatory approval. ICE would operate the venue and clearing infrastructure; Trade[XYZ] would develop products, using Hyperliquid technology. ICE is taking a minority stake in Trade[XYZ], but has not disclosed its investment size, the new venue’s fee arrangements or a launch date. The project could bring regulated US trading volume to Hyperliquid and support HYPE buybacks and burns, though that impact depends on how revenue is shared. The companies also need approvals for the exchange, clearing structure and leveraged contracts; potential distribution through an ICE-OKX venture has separate pending approvals.
